SASMOS HET Technologies (SASMOS) has signed an MoU with India’s The ePlane Company to collaborate on the engineering, design and industrialisation of the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) for the e200X electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The agreement, announced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, will see SASMOS provide its expertise in EWIS engineering and industrialisation to support development of the e200X programme.
Under the MoU, the companies will work together on harness architecture, EWIS engineering, design for manufacturability, prototype evaluation and certification readiness. The partnership also establishes a framework to explore wider collaboration on mission-critical electrical and interconnect systems as the programme progresses towards industrialisation and serial production.
EWIS serves as the aircraft’s electrical backbone, distributing power and data between propulsion, avionics, flight controls and other onboard systems. In electric aircraft, an optimised wiring architecture is key to reducing weight, improving reliability and supporting certification.
The e200X is one of India’s most advanced eVTOL programmes and is being developed as a modular platform for passenger transport, air ambulance and cargo operations. The collaboration also supports The ePlane Company’s strategy to build a domestic aerospace supply chain spanning electrical systems, avionics, composite materials, aerospace fasteners and aircraft interiors.
