Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has completed its previously announced acquisition of Macquarie AirFinance (MAF) in a transaction with an enterprise value of about US$9 billion.

The deal expands DAE’s portfolio to around 1,000 owned, managed and committed aircraft, cementing its position as the world’s third-largest aircraft lessor by fleet value and number of owned and managed aircraft. The combined fleet serves more than 175 airlines across 75 countries, while DAE also has commitments for around 150 new aircraft from Boeing, Airbus, ATR and other suppliers.

Chief Executive Firoz Tarapore said the acquisition strengthens DAE’s relationships with aircraft manufacturers, extends its orderbook into the 2030s and enhances its ability to support airline customers across fleet lifecycles.

The transaction was first announced in February 2026.
