Rise Air has ordered an additional ATR 72-600, extending its fleet renewal programme as it expands regional air services across Saskatchewan and northern Canada.

The aircraft, leased from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), is currently in production and is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2026, with entry into service planned for early 2027. It will become the fourth new ATR 72-600 in the carrier’s fleet.

Configured with 68 seats and certified for gravel runway operations, the turboprop will increase capacity for workforce transportation, charter operations and scheduled services while maintaining the flexibility required for operations in remote and challenging environments.

The latest acquisition follows more than $160 million invested in fleet modernisation over the past four years. Rise Air said the three ATR 72-600s introduced earlier in 2026 have met expectations for operational performance, passenger comfort and manufacturer support.

President and chief executive Derek Nice said the additional aircraft will provide greater capacity for existing and future customers while supporting the creation of skilled jobs across the airline’s pilot, maintenance and flight operations teams.
