Embraer said Colombia’s Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana (FAC) signed a contract to acquire two KC-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft, advancing the country’s plans to modernise its airlift and aerial refuelling capabilities.
The contract includes mission equipment, an integrated services and support package, and a comprehensive offset programme to meet Colombia’s regulatory requirements.
The KC-390 fleet will be capable of carrying out humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, cargo and troop transport, airdrop operations, and air-to-air refuelling missions.
The aircraft will also feature full connectivity with Colombia’s recently acquired Gripen fighter jets, enhancing operational readiness and interoperability, Embraer said.
