Turboprop aircraft lessor Abelo has acquired four ATR 72-600 and two DHC8-400 turboprops managed by Aergo Capital.
The six aircraft are on lease to Emerald Airlines, Binter Canarias, National Jet Express, Citilink and Philippine Airlines, adding five new operators to Abelo’s portfolio and further diversifying its global customer base.
“This transaction marks another milestone in our growth strategy and we look forward to collaborating further with Aergo on future opportunities,” said Stephen Gorman, Chief Executive of Abelo. “For Abelo, this acquisition represents a strategic expansion of our footprint, strengthening our position around key turboprop assets.”
Aergo Capital Chief Executive Paul Sheridan said the six turboprops were sold to Abelo on behalf of MUFG, DBJ and KDB under Aergo management.
