Setna iO has acquired a 2019-vintage Airbus A320neo airframe and two sets of Pratt & Whitney PW1100G quick engine change (QEC) components for teardown.
The aircraft, which features latest-generation avionics, cockpit systems and flight control technology, will be dismantled at ecube Solutions’ facility in Castellón, Spain.
The QEC packages include two integrated drive generators (IDGs), two IDG quick attach/detach units (QADs), two hydraulic pumps and a range of other line-replaceable units (LRUs).
Components recovered from the aircraft will be distributed through Setna’s network as used serviceable material or following repair, supplying airlines, lessors and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers worldwide.
Setna founder and Chief Executive David Chaimovitz said the acquisition would expand the company’s inventory of material available to its global customers.
“This acquisition represents an excellent opportunity to deliver valuable material to airlines, lessors and MROs around the world,” Chaimovitz said.
