STS Aviation Services has secured UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) approval for a CAR-145 C6 Equipment Rating at its Dubai CommerCity facility.
Issued under GCAA CAR-145 approval UAE.145.0101, the rating authorises STS to carry out approved component maintenance activities within the C6 Equipment category.
The permission expands the company’s maintenance capabilities in Dubai as it continues to build its MRO presence in the Middle East.
Located near Dubai International Airport, the CommerCity facility supports regional and international operators across the UAE, Gulf and wider Middle East.
“Securing the GCAA CAR-145 C6 Equipment Rating at our Dubai CommerCity facility is an important step forward for our team and our customers,” said Paul Curry, Vice-President and General Manager of STS Aviation Services Middle East.
“This approval expands the work we can perform locally and allows us to deliver a broader range of component maintenance services from Dubai.”
Curry said the approval also reflected STS Aviation Group’s continued investment in its Middle East operations and confidence in the regional market.
