Milestone Aviation has sold three Airbus H225 helicopters to Austrian operator Kitz-Air, with the aircraft set to be converted for aerial firefighting missions in Europe and South America.
The deal marks Kitz-Air’s first acquisition from Milestone and establishes a new customer relationship between the two companies.
The three H225s were delivered to the company in July 2026 and will undergo modification and conversion work in Europe before entering service.
Global Helicopter Services (GHS), a long-standing Milestone customer and partner, will carry out the conversions.
Kitz-Air specialises in heavy-lift, transport and special missions, with the newly acquired H225s set to expand firefighting capacity as operators respond to increasingly challenging wildfire seasons and growing demand for heavy helicopter support.
Milestone, an AerCap company, provides helicopter leasing and financing services to operators worldwide, including operating leases, purchase-and-leasebacks, secured debt financing, engine leasing and fleet advisory services.
