Embraer and Japan Airlines (JAL) have extended their long-standing partnership with a multi-year agreement covering maintenance, repair and spare-parts support for JAL’s fleet of 32 E170 and E190 aircraft.
Under Embraer’s Pool Program, the agreement will provide repairable components for the airline’s E-Jet fleet, with an inventory of parts positioned close to JAL’s operations to allow rapid access to critical components and help minimise operational disruptions.
The E-Jets have been part of JAL’s fleet since 2008, supporting regional connectivity across Japan.
The extension reflects the companies’ continued focus on aircraft reliability and operational performance as regional air connectivity in Japan develops. JAL’s E-Jet fleet has recorded an average six-month service reliability rate of 99.8%, Embraer said.
