Safran Landing Systems and Taiwan-based China Airlines have signed an agreement covering the overhaul of the main landing gear on the carrier’s fleet of 18 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, the companies said on September 23.
The agreement, signed at Safran Landing Systems’ Singapore facility during MRO Asia-Pacific, covers the airline’s entire A350-900 fleet and will support its landing gear maintenance needs from 2026 to 2031.
Under the deal, Safran will provide landing gear overhaul services and related technical support aimed at maintaining the reliability, availability and performance of China Airlines’ A350 fleet.
The maintenance work will be carried out at Safran Landing Systems’ MRO centre in Singapore, drawing on the French company’s original equipment manufacturer expertise and MRO capabilities.
The agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies. China Airlines already uses Safran Landing Systems for landing gear maintenance on its Airbus A330 fleet.
Other members of the China Airlines Group, including Tigerair Taiwan and Mandarin Airlines, also work with Safran Landing Systems on landing gear services for their respective fleets.
