StandardAero has appointed Paul McElhinney Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Russell Ford, who will remain executive chairman of the board through year-end.
McElhinney brings more than three decades of aerospace and industrial leadership experience to the role, including senior positions at GE Aviation Services and GE Power Services. He has also served on StandardAero’s board since 2019, giving him extensive knowledge of the company’s strategy, customers and operations.
Ford, who has served as chairman and CEO for 13 years, will continue on StandardAero’s board after year-end.
During Ford’s tenure, StandardAero expanded its global footprint, capabilities and customer relationships and completed its initial public offering in 2024, positioning the company among the world’s leading independent providers of aerospace engine aftermarket services.
