Aquila Air Capital, an Ireland-based engine lessor backed by funds managed by global alternative asset manager Wafra Inc., has appointed David Crull as Chief Financial Officer.
Crull brings more than 25 years of experience across the airline, aviation aftermarket and aircraft-leasing sectors. He will join Aquila’s leadership team with expertise spanning the financial and operational management of aviation businesses.

Crull has held senior roles across aviation finance, operations, commercial leadership and investing. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Jackson Square Aviation. Earlier, he served as chief investment officer of KP Aviation and chief financial officer of Aero Capital Solutions and AeroTurbine.
He also held senior finance roles at Spirit Airlines and began his aviation career in maintenance and engineering at American Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
Crull holds an MBA from the University of Dallas and a bachelor’s degree in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a former US Marine.
