Cirrus, a global leader in personal aviation and maker of the SR Series Piston aircraft and Vision Jet, has opened a 60,000 ft² warehousing centre in Duluth, Minnesota, consolidating several satellite facilities into a central operation to support aircraft production, aftermarket services and product development.
The facility is designed to streamline the receipt, storage, processing and distribution of parts as the manufacturer expands its global fleet and business operations.
“As our fleet continues to grow around the world, we are investing in the infrastructure and capabilities needed to support our aircraft and owners throughout the ownership experience,” said Zean Nielsen, Chief Executive of Cirrus.
The warehouse will increase storage and processing capacity while supporting production targets and growth in the company’s upgrades and accessories business, Nielsen said.
The expansion strengthens Cirrus’ wider Duluth operations, including manufacturing, maintenance support and aftermarket activities.
The facility is the latest investment in the company’s operational infrastructure as it expands its SR Series piston aircraft and Vision Jet fleets and develops services for aircraft owners.
