Satair and Sabena technics have signed a long-term Integrated Material Services (IMS) agreement, extending their existing commercial relationship into a multi-year operational partnership.
Announced at MRO Europe, the contract marks the first time an independent European MRO provider has joined Satair’s IMS programme. The agreement also expands Satair’s established global IMS presence in Asia-Pacific and China.
Under the deal, Satair will manage the planning, availability and obsolescence of consumable and expendable parts across Sabena technics’ Airbus maintenance activities.
The programme combines dedicated on-site stock at Sabena technics’ facilities with access to Satair’s global inventory pool. Operating under a flexible pay-after-use model, the arrangement is designed to reduce capital tied up in inventory and eliminate the need for Sabena technics to bear associated stockholding risks.
A dedicated Satair team will also be based on site, working directly with Sabena technics’ maintenance and procurement teams to manage material requirements and support operational efficiency.
