AerCap has signed lease agreements with Turkish Airlines for two B777-300ERSF converted freighters (known as ‘The Big Twin’), with deliveries scheduled between March and September 2027.
The aircraft will undergo conversion at Etihad Engineering’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Abu Dhabi, providing AerCap with additional capacity to serve customers across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
The deal expands AerCap’s growing B777-300ERSF programme, following the delivery of its first converted freighter to launch customer Kalitta Air in September 2025. The lessor has since delivered aircraft to Fly Meta and signed lease agreements with Ethiopian Airlines and China Southern Group.
AerCap said the latest agreement would strengthen its longstanding relationship with Turkish Airlines while providing the carrier with additional cargo capacity.
