Lufthansa reports record passenger numbers in first quarter

In the first three months of 2008, Lufthansa carried a record number of passengers, continuing the positive momentum achieved last year into the current financial year. Passenger numbers rose by 5.5% to 13 million in the first quarter. During the same period, capacity increased 5.5% and traffic climbed 5.9%, lifting the passenger load factor by 0.2 pts to 77.2%.
