Air Berlin approved for CAT III-B landings with Boeing 737

Air Berlin released that it will be carrying out CAT III-B approaches with its Boeing 737NG aircraft. This means that from now on landings will be possible when visibility in fog is down to just 75 metres. Where aircraft previously had to be diverted to other airports, the Boeings operated by Air Berlin will now be able to make their approach even under such adverse weather conditions.
