LTQ Engineering, the joint venture for engine overhaul between Qantas Airways Ltd. and Lufthansa Technik AG in Melbourne, Australia, has successfully established itself in the market. In its first year the size of its workforce grew by about 25% to more than 200 in order to be able to offer the company’s new and expanded range of services and products in line with customers’ requirements.
In the last few months LTQ Engineering has invested considerably and upgraded its engine shop so as to provide the optimal technical facilities for the overhaul of GE and CFM56 engines belonging to both the Qantas fleet and other airlines. LTQ Engineering is the only company in the Lufthansa Technik Group that offers overhaul services for the CF6-80E1 engine of the Airbus A330 family.
