FL Technics (Lithuania), one of the leading aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers in Eastern Europe, will invest $25 million to expand its maintenance capacity, list of capabilities, product range, and improve service quality. Comprehensive investment program was approved by FL Technics Board on the 4th of June 2010. The program, which includes construction of additional new hangars in Vilnius, expansion of capability list of base and line maintenance, Part M products, expansion of network of line stations, acquisition of needed equipment and training programs for company employees, will be implemented in the 2010-2015 period.
This year FL Technics added Boeing 737 NG to its EASA Part 145, Part 147 and Part M activities and started preparations to add Airbus A320 and ATR 42/72 aircraft types. During 2011-2015 period the list of aircrafts serviced will be extended with CRJ 200, CRJ 900, Embraer 145, Embraer 175 and business jets Hawker 850 aircraft types. The investment program also includes future development of spare part products and component supply services to any type of aircraft in the region.
FL Technics plans to construct new hangars at Vilnius International Airport. After the expansion of working area from 13.400 sq. m to 21.500 sq. m, FL Technics will be capable to provide services for up to 12 commercial aircraft simultaneously. This expansion will be supported by acquisition of equipment and extensive employee training.
