Aerodata, a design and modification center for a variety of special mission aircraft types, and Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services GmbH (LBAS), the first factory owned maintenance location for Bombardier Business Jets in Europe, have announced the start of a cooperation for retrofit and modifications for Bombardier aircraft in the field of Special Missions. The respective agreement was signed by the CEOs of both companies at ILA Berlin Airshow 2010 in Berlin-Schoenefeld.
By combining their forces the both companies can handle similar modification projects as well as selected bigger maintenance projects on Bombardier Business Aircraft even more efficiently in the future. It is also planned to combine the capabilities of Aerodata AG as a certified Part 21 Design Organization and of LBAS as a certified Part 145 Maintenance Organization to respond even better to international calls for tender.
