Cathay Pacific Airways orders 10 Boeing 777-300ER and 15 more A330s

Airways ordered 10 -300ER (extended range) airplanes valued at $2.8 billion at list price. Cathay Pacific first announced its selection of the 777-300ER for its fleet requirements in 2005. With this order, Cathay Pacific will increase its Boeing 777-300ER planned fleet from 36 to 46 (including 4 leased). It's the fifth increase in its acquisition plans for the long-range jetliner.

In addition Pacific Airways has placed a firm order with for 15 more A330-300s and signed a lease agreement with ILFC for two aircraft. The additional A330-300s are scheduled for delivery from 2013 and will join the airline's existing A330 fleet flying on services across the Asia-Pacific region. As with the airline's existing A330 fleet, the newly ordered aircraft will be powered by Trent 700 engines from .
