Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation and Siemens PLM Software announce new long-term agreement

Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, and JSC United Aircraft Corporation (JSC UAC) announced a new long-term agreement that extends the co-operation between the Russian aircraft industry’s companies and Siemens PLM Software in the application of Siemens PLM Software’s Teamcenter portfolio, a widely used digital lifecycle management system, and its NX software, a leading integrated solution for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE). JSC UAC is also considering Siemens PLM Software’s Fibersim portfolio, specialized software for composites engineering, as a possible solution for the design and manufacturing of composite parts. JSC UAC’s 15 aircraft development programs requiring large-scale production collaboration, are implemented using Siemens PLM Software’s solutions. By expanding the existing agreement, the number of programs is expected to grow significantly in the coming years.
