Embraer, Eve Air Mobility (Eve) and Groupe ADP (Aéroport de Paris) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering innovation and sustainable development to prepare for the future of low-carbon aviation at Paris-Le Bourget Airport. This partnership aims to bolster Embraer’s operations at Paris-Le Bourget, Europe’s leading business aviation airport.

The MoU encompasses the creation of new capabilities to enhance Embraer’s aircraft maintenance operations, prepare for the future Energia family and support the development of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations with eVTOLs.

Through this collaboration, Paris-Le Bourget strengthens its position as an innovative aeronautical cluster and a pioneering airport in decarbonised aviation.

As part of this plan, Embraer Services & Support intends to design and transfer its current facilities to a new maintenance building to optimise its capacity, targeting the highest standards in low-carbon construction and energy self-sufficiency. The new aircraft maintenance facility is expected to more than double the unit’s capacity.

For Eve, the company plans to work with Groupe ADP to create the necessary environment for eVTOL operations, including service and support activities such as training, maintenance, ground handling services and facilitating potential demonstration flights for public-private initiatives.

Additionally, Groupe ADP aims to provide its expertise to support future operations of the Energia aircraft family at Paris-Le Bourget, including the study of hydrogen infrastructure. Embraer’s Energia programme was updated last year with two concept aircraft models of 19 and 30 seats, featuring hybrid-electric and hydrogen-electric propulsion.
