Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has announced a new partnership with LOT Polish Airlines (LOT) to support its LEAP-1B engines. Formalised at the MRO Europe 2024 in Barcelona, this collaboration reflects AFI KLM E&M's commitment to assisting LOT in its fleet renewal efforts.
LOT, which operates one of Europe's youngest fleets and is expanding its next-generation aircraft, has entrusted AFI KLM E&M with LEAP Quick Turn support, adding to a longstanding relationship. AFI KLM E&M already provides component support for LOT's Boeing 787 and 737 fleets, and this new agreement further extends their long-term cooperation.
With extensive expertise in LEAP engines, AFI KLM E&M joined the LEAP network in 2022 and has since completed over 70 Quick Turns in its Amsterdam and Paris engine shops.
“We are very enthusiastic to partner with AFI KLM E&M on the LEAP-1B. This engine plays an important role in our ambition to reduce our environmental impact and we're confident that AFI KLM E&M has the knowledge and experience to maintain it to the highest standards,” commented Krzysztof Krolak CAMO Director at LOT Polish Airlines.
