Australian airline Skytrans has selected TP Aerospace to deliver a ‘Land For Less’ (LFL) programme, covering its recently acquired Airbus A319 and all future Airbus aircraft introduced into its fleet. This partnership represents a significant milestone in Skytrans’ strategy to expand its operations and strengthen its ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) services within the Australian market.
The addition of the A319 is a key element in Skytrans’ broader ambition to enhance its capacity and service offerings. Through this agreement, TP Aerospace will ensure comprehensive component management, supporting Skytrans’ passenger, cargo and business operations across both Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. This is an area where TP Aerospace has an established and growing presence, ensuring it is well positioned to support the airline’s expansion.
Skytrans’ Deputy Managing Director, Marijus Milasius, highlighted the importance of reliable maintenance partners as the airline begins operating Airbus aircraft in ACMI services. He stated, “As we commence ACMI operations across Australia and the Asia-Pacific with Airbus aircraft, it’s imperative to have credible and trustworthy maintenance partners in place. We’re delighted to be working with TP Aerospace who already have a strong footprint in Australia as well as being specialists in the types of aircraft we are bringing into service, including the A319 we have recently welcomed for operations across the region.”
Service and support under the LFL programme will be delivered from TP MRO facilities located in Melbourne and Brisbane. TP Aerospace first established its Australian wheel and brake maintenance and warehousing facility in Melbourne in 2016, followed by further expansion into Brisbane in 2023, in line with growing demand.
