On May 13, Azorra delivered the first of three Airbus A220-300 aircraft to Croatia Airlines, the national flag carrier of the Republic of Croatia. This marks the beginning of a new partnership between the global aircraft lessor and the airline, while also representing a milestone in Croatia Airlines’ ongoing fleet renewal programme.
The aircraft, delivered from Azorra’s firm orderbook with Airbus, was assembled at the Airbus facility in Mirabel, Canada, and is currently en route to Croatia on its ferry flight. The delivery supports Croatia Airlines’ strategic plan to replace its current fleet with 15 Airbus A220 aircraft by 2027, aiming for greater efficiency and a streamlined single-type fleet.
The Airbus A220, a clean-sheet aircraft designed for the 100–160 seat segment, offers wide economy seating, panoramic windows, and a noise footprint 50% smaller than that of older-generation aircraft. It is purpose-built for fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.

Croatia Airlines received its first two Airbus A220-300s in 2024, and Azorra is set to deliver two more by 2026. To date, Azorra has delivered six A220-300s from its orderbook to customers globally.
