BOC Aviation has signed a new lease agreement with Zhejiang Loong Airlines for three Airbus A320neo aircraft. The planes come from BOC Aviation’s orderbook and will be powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines. Deliveries are scheduled for 2027.
Moreover, Chief Executive Steven Townend said the deal reinforces the company’s presence in China. He noted that the A320neo aircraft are highly efficient and designed to reduce fuel burn. As a result, Loong Air will benefit from lower operating costs and improved sustainability.
Meanwhile, Loong Air Chairman Liu Qihong described the agreement as another step forward in the partnership. He said Hangzhou, the airline’s home city, is a fast-growing tech hub filled with opportunities. Therefore, deeper cooperation with BOC Aviation will help drive innovation and support the wider development of the aviation industry in China.
In addition, the Airbus A320neo is recognised for its advanced technology and reduced emissions. By adding these aircraft, Loong Air will enhance its efficiency and environmental performance.
Ultimately, this agreement strengthens BOC Aviation’s foothold in the Asia-Pacific region. It also underscores both companies’ shared focus on sustainability and modernisation.
Together, BOC Aviation and Loong Air are paving the way for a more efficient, greener, and better-connected future in Chinese aviation.
