Caerdav has signed a new consignment agreement with global MRO supplier Aerospheres. The partnership aims to simplify how maintenance materials are sourced and supplied.
Announced at MRO Europe in London, the deal ensures key stock — including tapes, oils, sealants, adhesives and composites — is always available at Caerdav’s St Athan facility. The agreement marks another step forward in both companies’ growth strategies.
Chris Coleman, Caerdav’s Chief Executive Officer, said the partnership supports the company’s expanding maintenance operations. As Caerdav’s fourth line reaches full capacity, having immediate access to essential materials is vital. Coleman praised Aerospheres for offering a flexible solution that helps avoid supply chain delays and maintain consistent service quality.
A key benefit of the deal is consolidation. Aerospheres will handle a process that previously involved multiple suppliers, improving efficiency and reducing sourcing time. With access to around US$20 million worth of stock, Aerospheres can cut freight costs and lower associated CO₂ emissions. Its ‘pay on consumption’ model also supports better cash flow for Caerdav.
Aerospheres CEO Paul Thompson said he was pleased to welcome Caerdav to the company’s consignment programme. He noted that the agreement would bring savings in administration, inventory, and waste reduction.
The timing of the deal aligns with Aerospheres’ recent expansion. Its new state-of-the-art facility in Hemel Hempstead, opened on 1 September, increases storage capacity and enhances logistics performance. These improvements will directly support Caerdav’s growing maintenance workload, particularly across Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
