Paul Terstegge will become Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Transavia on February 1, 2026, taking over from Marcel de Nooijer. Currently serving as Executive Vice President Inflight Services at KLM, Terstegge brings extensive expertise spanning commercial leadership, operational management, and strategic development within the aviation sector. His appointment is intended to strengthen Transavia’s long-term direction as the airline prepares for an expanded European footprint and a more sustainable operational model.
The leadership transition aligns with Transavia’s ambition to pursue targeted growth, broaden its European network, and accelerate its shift towards quieter and cleaner aviation. Improving the passenger experience, safeguarding operational reliability, and sharpening the business model remain core objectives for the years ahead.

Terstegge’s background encompasses a wide range of senior roles within the Air France–KLM Group. He has held general management positions abroad, contributed to strategic initiatives in Paris, and served in various commercial functions. At KLM, he currently oversees one of the airline’s major operational divisions, giving him substantial experience in managing complex service environments and large teams.
