Air France-KLM has announced the appointment of Olivier Piette as Executive Vice-President Strategy & CEO Office, effective February 1, 2026. In this expanded role, Piette will join the Air France-KLM Group Executive Committee (GEC) while continuing to report directly to Group CEO Benjamin Smith.
His remit will now include oversight of strategy, Group communications, brand portfolio strategy and the Group network. The appointment is intended to strengthen alignment between the group’s long-term strategic direction, global network governance, communications activities and the consistency of its brand portfolio.
Olivier Piette holds a master’s degree in engineering from Mines de Nancy and has spent 24 years with Air France and Air France-KLM. He has built extensive experience across flight operations, network planning, global sales and corporate strategy. He served as Air France Senior Vice-President Network from 2020 to 2024, before being appointed Chief of Staff to the Group CEO in September 2024.
