Airbus Helicopters and Kasi Healthcare have signed an agreement for the purchase of up to two Airbus H135 helicopters to support emergency medical services (EMS) in Nigeria, marking a significant step forward in the country’s aeromedical capabilities.
Announced at the third Nigeria Airlift 2026 Forum, the agreement makes Kasi Healthcare the first operator in Nigeria to order the HEMS-configured Airbus H135, a purpose-built helicopter designed for emergency response, patient transfers and other critical medical missions.
The partnership extends beyond the aircraft acquisition, with Airbus Helicopters providing comprehensive support to help develop Nigeria’s emergency medical aviation sector. This includes pilot and HEMS crew training, aircraft engineer training, maintenance support infrastructure and operational assistance to ensure international standards of safety, reliability and technical capability.
