U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations (CBP AMO) has ordered ten Airbus H125 helicopters to strengthen its airborne law enforcement, border security and public safety capabilities across the United States.
The aircraft will support a wide range of missions, including border surveillance, patrol and tactical operations in demanding environments.
Manufactured at Airbus’ facility in Columbus, Mississippi, the H125 is widely used for airborne law enforcement missions across North America. Its high visibility cockpit, multi-mission flexibility and low operating costs make it well suited to the operational demands of homeland security agencies.
The H125 is equipped with a range of advanced safety features, including a dual-channel Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), an engine data recorder and a dual hydraulic flight control system. Together, these systems reduce pilot workload and enhance safety during complex operational missions.
