Mammoth Freighters has delivered its first converted Boeing 777-200LRMF freighter to Jetran, marking a major milestone for the company’s 777 passenger-to-freighter conversion programme.
The aircraft, MSN 32222 / N703DN, is the first of more than two dozen 777-200LRMFs ordered by Jetran. Thirteen of the converted freighters are scheduled to enter revenue service within DHL’s global network.
The delivery follows the aircraft’s public debut at the Farnborough International Airshow and represents an important step as Mammoth moves its commercial conversion programme into operational service.
Further deliveries from Jetran’s order book are expected in the coming weeks, including aircraft destined for DHL and Qatar Airways.
Mammoth said the handover reflects growing global demand for its 777 freighter conversion portfolio, which includes the 777-200LRMF and the soon-to-be-certified 777-300ERMF.
Jetran CEO Jordan Jaffe described the delivery as more than a fleet expansion, saying it validates the engineering and production quality of the programme as the aircraft enters active service with DHL.
He also credited DHL and Mammoth Freighters for their collaboration in bringing the 777-200LRMF to market, calling the delivery the result of years of joint development.
The first handover strengthens a long-term partnership between Mammoth and Jetran as both companies prepare for the rollout of additional converted 777 freighters to operators worldwide.
