Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC) has completed the acquisition of 12 commercial aircraft and 13 aircraft engines, expanding its aviation asset portfolio as it targets further growth across leasing and aviation services.
The transaction gives WLFC additional assets to deploy through its integrated leasing, asset management, technical and aftermarket operations. The company said its global platform will allow it to manage and place the assets across multiple channels, with the aim of maximising utilisation and value over their operating lifecycles.
WLFC CEO Austin C. Willis said the acquisition provides an opportunity to invest in assets that complement the company’s existing business, while reinforcing its focus on disciplined growth and long-term value creation.
Milbank LLP advised WLFC on legal matters, while PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP provided accounting, tax and financial due diligence services. The seller was advised by Vedder on legal matters and KPMG Ireland on tax and accounting.
