AMAC Aerospace has recently completed a wide range of scheduled inspections across the Challenger and Global families at their Basel facility, reflecting continued activity among operators seeking specialist maintenance support.
Recent projects have included a 36-month inspection on a Bombardier Challenger 604, as well as a 12-month inspection combined with a change of aircraft registry on another Challenger 604. The Basel team also carried out a 12-month inspection on a Challenger 605.
Demand has been particularly strong for Bombardier Global aircraft. AMAC Aerospace completed a 30-month inspection on a Global 6000 and combined 15-month and 2,250-flight-hour checks on a Global 6000 XRS. A further Global 6000 underwent both 1,500- and 500-flight-hour inspections, while the company also performed a 1,000-flight-hour inspection on a Global 5000.
AMAC Aerospace has also welcomed several Bombardier aircraft to its Basel facility for defect rectification. Recent work has included an engine repair on a Global Express XRS, replacement of a bleed-air controller on a Global 5000 and a flap-actuator change on a Challenger 604. The team also completed a tail-cone repair and tyre replacement on a Global 7500
The variety of completed projects highlights the Basel facility’s ability to manage maintenance requirements based on both calendar intervals and aircraft utilisation. It also demonstrates the breadth of AMAC Aerospace’s experience across Bombardier’s long-range business jet portfolio. With several substantial inspections recently completed, the company’s Basel operation continues to serve as an important maintenance centre for Bombardier operators.
