Textron Aviation has received Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Part 145 approval for its Australian maintenance organisation, strengthening its factory-direct service and support across the Asia-Pacific region. The approval covers the company’s service centres in Melbourne, Perth and on the Gold Coast, creating one of Australia’s most extensive OEM-owned support networks.
CASA Part 145 approval confirms that Textron Aviation’s Australian maintenance organisation has the systems, qualified personnel, processes and oversight needed to carry out and certify aircraft maintenance in line with Australia’s stringent aviation standards.
The approval gives customers confidence that work is completed within a CASA-approved framework, while promoting consistent quality, regulatory compliance and technical expertise across Textron Aviation’s three company-owned service centres in Melbourne, Perth and on the Gold Coast. Their strategic locations enable the company to provide factory-direct support to operators throughout Australia.
More than 1,400 Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft are currently operating in the country. The approval strengthens Textron Aviation’s ability to support this fleet through local knowledge and capabilities backed by the resources of one of the aviation industry’s largest service networks. Customers can access CASA-approved maintenance, aircraft modifications, overhaul services and aircraft-on-ground assistance closer to their operating locations. This localised support is intended to shorten maintenance turnaround times, reduce aircraft downtime and help operators keep their aircraft flying safely and efficiently, while benefiting from direct access to the manufacturer’s technical knowledge, parts and wider international support capabilities.
