Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has appointed Sylvain Fagot as Senior Vice President (SVP) Components at Air France Industries, effective October 1, 2026.
Fagot succeeds François Gueguen, who is leaving AFI KLM E&M to become Executive Vice President Fleet, Engineering & Maintenance at Transavia France.
Fagot returns to Air France Industries after a career spanning more than two decades with the organisation, alongside senior technical and operational roles elsewhere in the Air France-KLM group.
Most recently, he was responsible for Fleet, Engineering & Maintenance at Transavia France, overseeing the airline’s technical operations. Before joining Transavia France, Fagot served as SVP Engineering & Maintenance at HOP! Air France, where he held responsibility for engineering and maintenance activities and developed broad experience in technical and operational leadership.
Earlier in his career, Fagot spent more than 20 years at Air France Industries, taking on a series of management positions across the organisation. His roles gave him extensive experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering, as well as a detailed understanding of MRO operations and the requirements of airline customers.
Fagot’s career has therefore combined technical expertise with leadership experience on both the MRO and airline sides of the business. In his new role, he will focus on further developing Air France Industries’ component capabilities and improving performance and service for customers.
