Canadian regional carrier Harbour Air has agreed to acquire Pacific Coastal Airlines (PCA), bringing the two airlines under common Canadian ownership and creating a new regional airline group, the companies said.
The deal will combine Harbour Air’s seaplane network with PCA’s wheeled-aircraft operations, expanding connectivity and access to destinations across British Columbia. Both airlines will retain their brands and customer offerings under the new group.
The combined network will continue to serve existing routes and provide service to 25 communities, while the companies plan to pursue additional routes and connections across the province.
The group will also seek to strengthen Vancouver as a regional hub, with greater access to airline partnerships and onward connections through Vancouver International Airport. The airlines said the combination will also expand loyalty programme benefits and low-fare options.
Harbour Air and PCA said the transaction is expected to support long-term growth in Canada’s aviation market, while protecting and creating local jobs and maintaining investment in communities across British Columbia.
The deal brings together two airlines with 40-year histories and a shared focus on employees, passengers and the communities they serve, the companies said.
