Sepang Aircraft Engineering (SAE) has signed a contract with Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific covering 12-year maintenance and end-of-lease (EOL) checks for seven A320 aircraft.
The agreement was signed during MRO Asia in Singapore, with the checks to be carried out at SAE’s facility at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The deal builds on the companies’ existing relationship, which includes heavy maintenance, EOL checks, engine changes, skin panel replacement and on-site engineering support in Manila.
SAE, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus, said the agreement would further strengthen its support for Cebu Pacific’s A320 fleet through its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities.
