Vallair has received its first Airbus A330neo for maintenance since securing type-rating approval in the summer, marking an expansion of its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities.
The aircraft, operated by a South American airline, is undergoing full base maintenance at Vallair’s facility in Châteauroux, central France.
“The arrival of the first A330neo is a welcome sight. It is always energising to deploy new capabilities and deliver greater benefits for customers,” said François Fermaut, director of operations at Châteauroux.
Vallair’s expansion into the A330neo platform comes amid growing airline adoption of the aircraft type and rising demand for qualified maintenance providers.
With Airbus having just under 300 A330neo orders yet to deliver, Vallair expects demand for maintenance services for the aircraft to continue to grow in the coming years.
