Bombardier and BAE Systems have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore collaboration on next-generation combat air capabilities in Canada.
Potential areas of cooperation include aircraft and mission-system design, systems integration, digital engineering, digital thread technologies, advanced manufacturing, and long-term product support, sustainment and security.
The companies aim to develop a lasting set of capabilities to support next-generation combat air solutions throughout their lifecycle, from early-stage design and digital development to systems integration, manufacturing and in-service support.
The agreement seeks to combine the companies’ aerospace and defence expertise to develop sovereign combat air capabilities in Canada, while also creating opportunities in international markets.
