Boston MedFlight has ordered three Airbus H145 helicopters to modernise and expand its air medical transport fleet serving New England. The latest order brings the non-profit critical care transport organisation’s total purchases of the H145 to 12.
Boston MedFlight has provided critical care transport services for more than 41 years, assisting more than 115,000 patients. Airbus has been a longstanding partner, and the organisation currently operates an all-Airbus fleet.
The three twin-engine H145 helicopters will be delivered over the coming years, replacing existing aircraft while also enabling fleet expansion. The additional capacity will strengthen Boston MedFlight’s ability to transport critically ill and injured patients between regional healthcare facilities and directly from emergency scenes.
