Gogo, a leading communications service provider to the global aviation industry, received an STC from the FAA and certification from the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) – the aviation authority in Japan – to install its Ku-satellite based connectivity service on Japan Airlines’ 777-300 aircraft. The 777-300 is the second aircraft type in JAL’s fleet to receive FAA and JCAB approval for installation. Gogo has partnered with JAL to install connectivity service and Gogo Vision – Gogo’s wireless in-flight entertainment service – on JAL’s domestic fleet, and the certification is a key milestone in the installation process.
