Air Canada reports third quarter net income of CA$457m

Air Canada reported third quarter adjusted net income of CA$457m compared to adjusted net income of CA$365m in the third quarter of 2013, an improvement of CA$92m. EBITDAR (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and aircraft rent) amounted to CA$749m compared to EBITDAR of CA$626m in the third quarter of 2013, an improvement of CA$123m. On a GAAP basis, Air Canada reported operating income of CA$526m, an increase of CA$110m  from the same quarter in 2013. The airline recorded net income of CA$323m in the third quarter of 2014 compared to a net income of CA$299m in the third quarter of 2013, an improvement of CA$24m.
