Honeywell to power Textron Scorpion Aircraft

Honeywell Aerospace has been selected as the production aircraft engine supplier for the Textron AirLand Scorpion aircraft. Honeywell’s proven TFE731-40AR-3S engine was previously selected for the development stage of the program and this agreement has been extended to the aircraft production phase. The Scorpion is designed to perform a wide range of diverse missions and offers one-of-a-kind intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and strike capabilities at an unmatched value with low operating costs. The mature, lightweight TFE731 engine complements the aircraft’s multipurpose role in the marketplace.
