EPCOR, AFI KLM E&M’s subsidiary specializing in MRO services for Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and pneumatic systems, has seen its CAAC approval extended by the Chinese authorities after inspectors from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) gave their approval following an audit of EPCOR’s latest capabilities. With the extension of its CAAC certification, EPCOR can now offer its repair services to Chinese airlines covering a wide range of part numbers (P/Ns). Following the audit, a total of 81 new P/Ns were added to EPCOR’s catalogue of MRO capabilities. These include the type of APU equipping the Boeing 787 (APS5000), as well as its air compressors, together with the APU types used on aircraft in the A320, Embraer 170/190, and A330/340 families, and the Boeing 777 and 737NG.
