Air Lease Corporation signed a long term lease agreement with Air Vanuatu, an international airline based in Port Vila, Vanuatu, for one new Boeing 737-800. The aircraft is from ALC’s order book with Boeing and will deliver in January 2016.
Finmeccanica-AgustaWestland has signed a contract for the sale of ten AW189 commercial helicopters to RN-Aircraft, a subsidiary of the oil company Rosneft. The contract foresees that the new helicopters will be used for transportation purposes. Delivery of the aircraft is expected between 2015 and 2017. GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced delivery of the first of two leased Boeing 737-700s to its customer VRG Linhas Aéreas S.A. The second aircraft is scheduled for delivery later this month. VRG Linhas Aéreas, the parent company of GOL, is Brazil’s second largest air carrier.

Avolon, the international aircraft leasing company, announced the delivery of an Airbus A320-200 aircraft to Thai AirAsia. This delivery is Avolon’s first aircraft directly on lease to Thai AirAsia. Furthermore, Avolon delivered one Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Hainan Airlines. This is Avolon’s second aircraft on lease to Hainan Airlines.
Air Lease Corporation announced long term lease agreements with Frontier Airlines, an ultra-low-cost carrier based in the United States, for two new Airbus A320-200s. These aircraft are from ALC’s order book with Airbus and will deliver in the second and third quarters of 2016.
International AirFinance Corporation (IAFC) selected Rolls-Royce to provide Trent 700 engines, worth US$930m, for 20 Airbus A330 Regional aircraft. Moulay Omar Alaoui, International AirFinance Corporation, President and CEO, said: “We selected the Trent 700 as the best solution in terms of economics and reliability.”
