Finnair has selected IAE International Aero Engines to supply engines for its five new Airbus A321 extended range aircraft, entering the Finnair fleet from September 2013. The IAE V2533-A5 engines offer Finnair a significant advantage in fuel efficiency over the competition, saving about 300 tons of fuel per year per aircraft, according to aircraft supplier
GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has delivered a new leased ATR 72-600 aircraft to Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras S/A as part of a purchase and leaseback transaction. The aircraft is the first of five new ATR72-600s GECAS will lease to Azul to expand the airline’s fleet. These aircraft come from Azul’s existing orderbook with ATR.
