FLY Leasing, a global lessor of modern commercial jet aircraft, has purchased a brand new Boeing B737-800 aircraft. The aircraft is on a long-term lease to a leading Asian airline. The purchase was financed with FLY’s unrestricted cash and its acquisition facility.
GE Capital Aviation Services Limited delivered a new leased Boeing 777-36NER aircraft to Kenya Airways. The aircraft comes from GECAS’ existing order book with Boeing. Boeing and EL AL Israel Airlines have finalized an order for two additional Next-Generation 737-900ER (Extended Range) airplanes. The order comes just two weeks after the Israeli flag-carrier took delivery of its first 737-900ER. This order brings the total number of 737-900ERs ordered by EL AL to eight.
GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS) delivered a new Airbus A320 to Spring Airlines to expand the Chinese low-cost carrier’s fleet. The aircraft comes from GECAS’ existing order book with Airbus. Spring Airlines operates a fleet of more than 30 aircraft to destinations in China, Japan, Macau and Thailand.
