AWAS has delivered a new Airbus A320-200 aircraft to Royal Jordanian, the final of seven new aircraft as part of an agreement reached in early 2011. This placement is part of Royal Jordanian’s major fleet renewal programme, to offer its customers superior comfort while driving enhanced efficiencies across its network.
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, has signed a contract with the Swedish Maritime Administration for seven AW139 intermediate twin helicopters. The aircraft will be equipped for Search and Rescue (SAR) operations with the first helicopter scheduled to be delivered in the spring of 2013 and the final one in 2014. Turkish Airlines (THY) has ordered 15 GE90-115B-powered Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with options for five additional aircraft. Delivery will begin in 2014. THY has also signed a long-term OnPoint solutions agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of its new GE90-115B engines. GE Aviation’s new H75 and H85 turboprop engines received engine type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The two new engines are derivatives of the H80 engine. International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), announced the final delivery of an American Airlines 737-800 as part of a 15-aircraft sale-leaseback program. The agreement provided for 15 previously ordered Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft to be purchased by ILFC from American and immediately leased back to American under a sale-leaseback financing arrangement. Dublin-based global aircraft lessor, AWAS, announced that it has acquired a late model Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft from another lessor, subject to a long-term lease to Virgin Australia.
GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS) announced delivery of a leased Boeing 737-500 to Lineas Aereas De Mocambique (LAM), the flag carrier of Mozambique. LAM, along with its subsidiary MEX (Mozambique Express), operates 10 aircraft to destinations in Africa from its base in Maputo, Mozambique.
Hong Kong Aviation Capital (HKAC) delivered a further new Airbus A320 purchased from Indigo Airlines and leased back. This is the 12th A320 HKAC has on lease with the airline.

Avianca Airlines, Colombia’s flagship airline, announced an order for three 787 Dreamliners. The order was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website and is valued at approximately $620m at published list prices.
